DIRECT is privileged to be working with a newly founded co-educational secondary boarding school in a stunning part of Austria. We have been asked to recruit a high school English Literature and Language Teacher for immediate start.
The school is housed in a beautiful 13th century castle and is designed for a maximum of 120 students which allows for students’ individual guidance and development. The unique campus offers students the chance to learn in an environment surrounded by history and beauty. The school is committed to providing very high quality, individuality-oriented, careful and contextual pedagogy. Students are supported in the formation of their unique personalities and the school has created a community where they learn to share rights and responsibilities, where they cooperate and build networks of trust and positivity.
The school’s English and German-taught curriculum has been created in line with high standards of international and Austrian teaching guidelines and is subject to regular evaluation and revision by the school’s administration, teaching faculty, and resident-care staff. The school’s policies, teaching materials, and pedagogical approaches are consistent with most highly accredited independent schools in Austria and worldwide.
Various extracurricular activities are provided to students, from soccer or tennis to art exhibitions and chess clubs as well as wilderness expeditions. The school is located about 1 hour outside of Vienna, situated on a hilltop between two forest reserves, not far from the Hungarian border. The campus offers spacious classrooms, a library, student lounges, sports field, computer lab, chapel, cultural hall with grand piano, castle towers, art room, music facility, and more.
