A Middle Years Programme (MYP) Humanities Teacher is required for a top International Baccalaureate School in the Bahamas – start date, around the 10th August 2021.
This is an independent, non-selective, non-denominational day school offering a high standard International Baccalaureate, Junior Pre-K through Grade 12 education. It is very well-established and was transformed from a small, community school into an innovative and strong educational facility. The student body of 385 students is diverse with approximately 41 nationalities represented on campus. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). It is authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) to teach the Diploma Programme (DP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and, most recently, the Career-related Programme (CP). It is a certified Eco-School under the United Nations Green Schools Programme.
Secondary facilities include eight multipurpose classes, two music rooms, two science labs, one art room, one Language Acquisition room, and one Maker Space. Shared with the Elementary School are the library, basketball court, swimming pool, Physical Education building, soccer-practice field, and other shared spaces that include off-campus tennis, baseball equestrian, sailing, and additional fields.
