Founded in 2002, this outstanding school in Dusseldorf is a private, non-selective, co-educational, non-faith day school located in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany. It is part of a group of three international schools spread across Germany which share a strong common ethos and structure. The schools strive for excellence in everything they undertake and place heavy emphasis on creating a positive, enjoyable, and child-centered learning experience. The school is not only an important option for ex-pat families in the area, but also for those in the local community who seek an inspiring and enriching alternative to the German education system. The school community currently consists of approximately 700 pupils, aged from 2-18. Approximately half of these pupils come from the local German community, whereas the remaining half come from a broad spectrum of international backgrounds. There are currently over 50 nationalities represented in the school. This diverse nature of the school makes it a vibrant and exciting place to both work and learn. The varied mosaic of cultures, languages, and experiences which make up the school community is however unified by a shared vision and shared values.

Art is a compulsory part of the curriculum in Middle School, where pupils have the opportunity to work with varied media and develop techniques that enable them to express their ideas both imaginatively and precisely.
Art is a valuable part of our curriculum and a popular option at the examination level. It is a compulsory element of our middle school curriculum, and we offer art as an IGCSE subject in the upper school. Pupils follow the IB Visu-al Arts curriculum in the sixth form. Familiarity with these examination courses would be an advantage. A strong desire to contribute to the rich pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school is also desired. The successful individual will work together with class teachers to ensure the primary curriculum develops artistic skills in a consistent and engaging manner, as well as supporting teachers in their delivery of classes where needed.

Salary and Benefits Include

  • Teaching salaries range from €35,000 to €53,000 gross per annum. The school operates a salary scale based on experience. Tax and other deductions vary depending on your personal situation.
